In the early 2000s, I was one of the few young women documenting the rise of female voices in action sports. As women’s skateboarding and surfing gained momentum, I had a front-row seat—and a camera in hand. I led stories that spotlighted female athletes and helped shape the conversation around their growing presence in these spaces. I’m a lifelong surfer and storyteller with a camera always close by. In the early 2000s, I began documenting the rise of women in action sports—contributing features and photography to surf publications and exhibitions across California. From the lineups at Trestles to launching my own magazine, my work has always centered around the ocean, identity, and culture.
